TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to The Cotton Route. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by the following terms. We don’t do “standard,” and we expect the same level of commitment from our partners.

1. Engagement & Scope

The Cotton Route provides elite media services including content production, digital strategy, and brand identity. Each project is governed by a specific Statement of Work (SOW). Any requests outside the original SOW will be treated as a “Change Order” and may incur additional fees. We move fast, but we move within the agreed-upon perimeter.

2. Payment Terms

  • Commitment Fee: A non-refundable deposit (typically 50%) is required before any creative engine starts turning.

  • Milestones: Remaining payments are tied to project milestones or delivery dates as specified in your contract.

  • Late Payments: We value our time and yours. Late payments may result in a temporary “halt” of services and a 5% monthly interest fee on outstanding balances.

3. Intellectual Property

  • Our Tools: We retain ownership of any pre-existing “know-how,” templates, or proprietary strategies used to build your project.

  • Your Assets: Upon final payment, the ownership of the specific final deliverables (videos, logos, designs) transfers to you.

  • Showcase Right: Unless otherwise agreed in writing, The Cotton Route reserves the right to showcase any work created for you in our portfolio and marketing materials. Your success is part of our legacy.

4. Client Responsibilities

Success is a two-way street. You agree to provide:

  • Timely feedback (within 48–72 hours).

  • Necessary brand assets and high-resolution files.

  • A clear point of contact with decision-making authority.

  • Delayed feedback results in delayed delivery.

5. Revisions & Approvals

We play for perfection, but we provide a set number of revision rounds (as stated in your SOW). Any revisions beyond this will be billed at our standard hourly creative rate. “Final Approval” is binding; changes made after approval will be treated as a new project.

6. Limitation of Liability

The Cotton Route is a growth engine, but we do not control the algorithms of third-party platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.). While we engineer every campaign for maximum ROI, we cannot be held liable for platform-side changes, account bans due to client-side history, or lost profits beyond the value of the service fee paid.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement with [30 days] written notice. In the event of termination, the client is responsible for payment for all work completed up to the termination date.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably will be settled through arbitration in Abuja.
